
Joan Hazel Aninon is a veteran special education and English Language Arts teacher with 14 years of classroom experience and a Master of Arts in Special Education (Major in Autism). Recognized for inclusive practice and data-driven instruction, she leads key processes such as IEP annual reviews, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans, and mentors colleagues on differentiated instruction for students with diverse learning needs.
Her U.S. roles include Special Education Teacher at McKinley Middle School (2020–present) and ELA Special Education at Gallup High School (2019–2020), following nearly a decade of secondary teaching in the Philippines.
